Willys Jeep, year 1946. Colour army green combined with pale green canvas seat upholstery. The car shows fantastic original details, and it drives very well! The Jeep was kept in a car collection and regularly driven. Last year the car the car participated in a Liberation trail (run) to Normandy.

The Willys MB Jeep is one of the first mass-produced military vehicles in the United States, with a total production of 361,339 units between November 18, 1941 and September 21, 1945. The Willys MB Jeep was designed to meet the United States Army's need for a light utility vehicle. The Willys MB Jeep was known for its versatility, durability, and ability to conquer rough terrain. The vehicle's design included features such as four-wheel drive, compact and lightweight for shipping and transport, a fold-down windshield, and a payload of 660 pounds (300 kilograms). In July 1941, Willys-Overland was awarded the contract to produce the Willys MB due to its powerful engine, low bid (unit cost), and production capacity. Ford was commissioned to assist with production, resulting in the Ford GPW model. The Willys MB Jeep became an iconic symbol of American ingenuity and military prowess during World War II. Its design has influenced the development of military and civilian vehicles over the decades, and it remains a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
