This example was sold new in the UK (registration number LLH-112). In 2014 the car was purchased by the current owner who lived in the UK then. In 2014 the car was purchased in extensively restored condition. Previous owners had modified the car on the following details: A free-flowing SS-exhaust manifold was fitted, a lighter operating Lea Francis 14 HP steering box was fitted, and an electric Kenlow fan was additionally fitted. As the owner moved to the Netherlands in 2022, the car moved with him and was road registered in the Netherlands. In 2022 the owner exchanged the original 4-speed gearbox for a rugged, reliable, and fully synchronized Getrag 5-speed gearbox. The carpet was renewed, as were the ‘double duck’ hood and the tonneau cover. In the same year the Lea Francis participated in the Concours d’Élégance Paleis Soestdijk in the class “Gentlemen’s Sportscars of the 1950s and 1960s”.
The owner (who had owned three Lea Francis cars in total) has cherished, maintained, and perfected the car to a very high standard. Exemplary is the fact that the car was given a full service by the owner prior to the sale. Everything works perfectly and the car drives superbly! The automobile is in an excellent to superb condition, and ready to be enjoyed to the fullest. Tools like jack (classic- and scissor type, grease gun and wheel nut wrench are with the car.
